Opinions on Pioneer Touch Screen DVD

i was thinking of buying the AVH-P5700DVD

http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/product/detail/0,,2076_4023_192089338_tab=C,00.html?compName=PNA_ProductDetailComponent

i can get it for about $600. right now i have a DEH-4600MP and i wanted to add dvd to my car. anyone else using one of these? i was also looking at the AVH-P7600DVD, but its a little out of my price range.

also, how many preouts does it have? i'm hoping for 3(front, rear and sub). for some reason the pioneer website doesnt say anything about the specifications.

I'm getting it come tax time

Click me for specs

Also, it doesn't fit the Cavaliers/Sunfires (too deep). You might have to modify something behind the dash.

i work in sales for a car audio shop, pioneer is not my top pick, on some u can play video and drive at the same time... on the alpine IVAd310 flip a switch and u can and also control i personalize.. its more expsensive i can sell em as low as 1350 and if u want something a lil cheaper and dont care if its not touch screen, u can do the audiovox or jenson piece i can sell em around 900 dollers, and its cd/mp3/radio/dvd/ and tv tuner// its awsome for the price and easy to use..

Pioneers not your top pick? so what is jensen? Jensin is f'n garbage, they always break,we get so many returns on that.Jensen is by far the worst company to go w/. Pioneer and Alpine are two of the top manufacturers in in-dash units and fyi the only pioneer u cant watch while ur driving is the avic n2,but it can be rigged to a switch amd u flip it 3 times and then it will work.....You claiming pioneer isnt go0d when in fact my 7600 is one of the top rated in-dash on the market,go check a review on jensen there GARBAGE and for $900 HA u can get a pioneer for less than that that would destroy a jensen

ok jenson is actually my very low low pic but not all of my customers have fat cash. its my low end product. but i do like the avic n2 alot. but i love the alpine IVAD310. i know how to over ride the alpine piece but how do u do the avic n2?? i havnt really figured that one out. and yes jenson isnt that great its just how much money u have. becausi sell that too, along with kenwood and eclipse. i do like the eclipse also, if u would let me know how 2 do the avic piece..thanks im not sayin pioneer is junk. i do love the 7600 piece too. i sell alot of avics..and i use my jenson peice for people that dont have alot of cash... plus we got some pay with them in cash too, anyways if u would let me know on that over ride.. thanks

another question, this screen just plugs into the HU and works? obviously it wont have the touch screen feautures, but i want 2 of them to put in the headrests and i figure if i buy them pioneer too, they should just plug and play. will the screens only show movies or everything thats going on on the front screen(mp3 titles, ect) any opinions on the quality?

oops, i forgot to add the link

http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/product/detail/0,,2076_4025_38315,00.html

its the AVD-W6200 screen. i just noticed that it comes with a stand so you dont have to custom it into the headrest. i dont need that, do they sell one without that extra crap for (hopefully)cheaper? i can get this screen for 230..

ive had nothing but problems w/ the jensens, constantly getting returned, frying out,tv tuner breaking, screen jamming, there f'n garbage. As far as the avic n2 goes, you ho0k the parking break lead to a switch w/ a constant ground, flip the switch 3 times and it will than play dvd while driving, you can ho0k it to any constant ground like the 1 coming off your harness, that the only way you can get the n2 to play or as far as i know.....

and as for your comment, about knowledge, thats just childish..

There are two other ways to do it. One involves looping video back through the rear view camere and another requires you to solder to jumper points together.
