Put something like this under the box, under the carpet (if the box is moving the carpet around), or both.
^^^ That didn't work for me when i had a sealed box. but then again it was really light. I'll have to try that with my heavier vented (and bigger) box.
Go buy a small roll of VELCRO, use the hook part of it and STAPLE it to the bottom of your box, you can still remove it, not put any holes in it and it WILL STAY PUT!
I just use the Sticky Shelfing paper like he pictured. All my boxes have been about 20 to 25 pound or heavier though.
well right now my box isn't covered because im fiberglassin it sometime, so i guess ill try the velcro trick if that doesn't help im gonna do the L braces. My box is around 60 LBS maybe

Build a bigger box so there isn't a spare 1/4 in the trunk for the box to move aroud =] Worked for me....
buy some 1/2 inch bolts, remove sub, drill holes, bolt it in with some fender washers on either side. seal holes if necessary.

i got under my car and drilled some screws(like 6) up into the trunk and though the box, basically bolting it to the floor. that'll give thieves something to look for when they're trying to steal my @!#$.
"WTF? why cant i lift the box up? it cant be THIS heavy"
