Now I'm interested in how you can make a square box seamless.

45 degree joints still have seams, horrible ones if you suck at measuring your cuts

just the way you cut the carpet...... and make the box, the seams all disapear, well unless you look very, very, very closely to the sides......

the way i did mine, was take the side walls and have them recessed inside, so you would wrap the 54" by whater lenght around starting from bottom, going around, and then meeting back to the bottom. then the edges would get wrapped, and then you cut a piece that would go inside the reccessed area...
so if you wanted to pick the box up also you would have a small edge to work with...
It does quite make for a very nice box, almost if you were to buy one.

If NE1 wants instructions, post here...
i need to make another one for my friend, and i figured since i will be doing it, might as well help somone that DOESN'T know how to, and experiment with. At least give them somthing to be able to call their own, an yet be simple enough.

I know that theres a bandpass box, but this is for a sealed one.

the construcion methods are the same..no matter if it's a sealed or ported box.

your just talking about wrapping it right?

if you really want to have no seams...wrap the box with one single piece of carpet rather then making boards for the sides (that's the easy way!) cut your side carpet on diagonals with a straighedge and you'll REALLY have no seams

well the raeson had separate panels, wus just so the edges are less likely to see, even if you cut the diagonlas staigest as possible, you will still see them.

Yeah, since when is there a grain..... did i miss soemthig, or is someone building boxes out of plywood?

i never have seams on any of my boxes...just rub it a bit and they dissappear.

hell sometimes i only carpet the front since that's all you see, lol
