I went and hooked up my popper today and when i went to push the button and the thing popped twice then quit. I ran the wire ffrom the popper to the button and then to the battery. Did the switch fry or did the popper?

Just guessing is there a fuse connected somewhere, should there be?
Peace Out!
nope i didn't hook up a fuse to it. I ripped it out of my Regal.

This link is from slickcar.com, it's for a trunk popper that I was thinking of adding to my Cavi. If you take a look at the picture you'll notice an inline fuse in the wiring. I think this is where you might have to check the manuals on the Regal to see if this was connected (fuse). If it's an older car (Regal) I imagine that this kinda works like a hood popper, with no fuse. Spring loaded or tension somethingorother.

Hope this helps.

i just went unbolted the popper from the lock, cut the wire runnin to it, ripped out the button in the glove box, cut those wires, then installed it the sunfire, ran a wire from the popper to the button then to the battery. took me about 2 and a half hours to install.

No fuse inbetween the battery and popper? hmmmm.....
Probly your switch is fried. Is it a solenoid type (ie just clicks), they pull alot of amps. Get a new switch and use a relay. Stock ones use relays.
i tested the popper (ran a wire from the battery to the popper) and it doesn't do anything so there for i believe its fried.
