Fuse and amp connector melted
Wednesday, October 12, 2005 3:02 PM
I don't know too much about car audio, I've had my sound system installed by professionnal for a few months with no problem. Today the sub cut out so I checked my amp and the fuse had melted, completely ! Even the connector on the sub had melted so I can't even connect another fuse on the amp ! I've checked the wires, they seem connected at the same places they were. So, could it be an amp problem ? If I go to the place I bought it, can they replace it or it could be my fault that it happend ?

If I'm reading it right, it sounds like the fuse that melted is the one on the amp? If so it's probably a manufacturer's defect which should be covered under warranty.
