If I activated my alarm, and then didn't touch the car for a whole week, would that be ok? (assuming the siren didn't go off during the entire time)
Yes. The alarm uses very little power to stay on.. I'd venture to say you could keep it on for a month and it wouldn't matter.
outside of the alarm going off repeatedly, i've never heard of anyone having a problem leaving an alarm on. my wife's car was parked for a little over a week with the alarm on and it was fine...

My alarm has been armed for the past month without the car being started. Been set off twice. Just hit the remote start and it fired up just fine.

ive left my car parked for months no problems.. that little blinking LED isnt gonna do much
also most alarms have a battery save feature which makes the led blink less as time goes on like normal blinking for 48 hours then half as much after that
yea ive let my car sit for a whileeeeeeee w/ the alarm on, i think it takes forever to acctually kill a batt
