i just got a 12 disc cd changer pioneer CDX-FM1235S .doesnt have install guide.i have everything hooked up but theres 3 wires that come off for the power.black i know is ground then theres an orange and a red?
i think red goes to 12v source but wtf is the orange? any clue?
In my deck Ive got a couple orange wires that go nowhere..I think they are for door speakers...
That orange wire goes to the accesory, like amp remote turn-on. Or you can splice it in with the red wire in your existing radio harness.

My guess would be either a +12 volt constant or +12 volt switched...
Is this an inline one that ties into the radio antenna on your car and you set the radio to a certain station to listen to it?
yeah it ties into my radios antenna adapter
well... i figured out that the red is power and the orange is ignition
now my question is...what color is the wire i tap into coming off my ignition

The asscesory wire is orange on your car. It is located in the ignition harness in your steering colum hope that helps

Or you can hook it to the pink wire in that same harness, that is the wire that will mean if you are listening to your stereo in the on position and you go to start your car, the cd wont stop it will keep playing(your radio will stop but as soon as it comes up you will have your cd again.
orange? wtf? constant 12v on a radio is supposed to be YELLOW. orange and orange/white are supposed to be dimmer for when you turn on your headlights.

its not a radio....its a 12disc cd changer that plugs into a radio
