yeah they are but there 12 volt the same as a car
Yup... works the same as a neon tube.
and cost about 1/4 less as neons too!
I guess that depends if you're paying retail prices
My neons and cold cathodes all came from Ebay... all about the same prices.... cheap....
To answer the question, yellow is positive, black is ground.
ok so, whats the average size of an underbody kit??
24" for front and rear and 36" for side?
i;m thinkin bout doin an underbody with cathodes and i jsut need to know how many to get
Cheap undercar neons are usually 48's on the sides and 36's on the front and rear. Good ones are 54" sides.. damned if I know what mine is... it's an LED kit tho.
Ah, i measured it. Plasmaglow 7-color LED kit... 36 front and rear, 48 sides.
hmmm ok so i'd need 4 for each side and 3 for the ends......
thanx
what are cold cathodes?
kyle
ive been using them for about 6 years now. they are much thinner, and MUCH more prone to breaking. i wouldnt reccomend them AT ALL for an undercar kit, but for interior lighting, they work just fine, just wire the inverter's wires to your car as a normal accessory, PC power supplies still give out same voltage a car does.
