Alright, now when you guys put sound deadner on the trunk lid, what do you use to cover it up and make it not stick out like a sore thumb? I was thinking of getting the toyota cavalier trunk lid carpet liner, but what are some other things you guys have done? I don't want bare dynamat showing if you know what i mean. All suggestions welcome! TIA
Clean it very good, let it dry and paint the aluminum to same as your Exterior.

but it won't be smoothed out though...would it?
I'm planning on getting the JDM trunk liner.

Depend on how nice of a job you did when you applied it.
This is how mine looked after I 1st used FatMat. My new trunk will have steel welded to the under side to make it smooth. But it you use a roller it should come out smooth, but you should cut out patterns to make it fit nice.
That would be so bad painted, the Toyota liner is a very good idea, but when I have seen them for sale they are around $75, and you can paint it for under $10
i'm using fatmat aswell, think i will get the toyota carpeting
thanks!!
i'm getting the carpet as well...but it'll be fiberglassed and house a set of speakers

I dont know anything about the dynamat, so i thought i'd ask. I have the RK Sport wing on my sunfire and it seems to be the only thing that rattles on my car. If I got Dynamat, would that stop it from rattling? Also where can it be purchased and how much does it cost?
