I recently bought a used cd player. It works great other then the fact that it sounds a little crackly and sometimes will skip cd's that other players dont. Is there something I can do to clean it? Is it possible that the laser is dirty?

you could get one of those cd player lens cleaner discs and try it out. I dunno how much it will help, but it's worth the shot for the few bucks they cost.
