Maybe contact
http://www.speedometershop.com/ before you buy all the stuff from the junkyard. I got a kit from them for my non-j-body in the past for around $150. The stalk and main unit were more of a universal type, but all the wiring and brackets were car specific. Many Toyota techs have asked who installed the kit, and where I got it. It is that clean of an install.

Lenko, Quick question? He explains a cruise control install for a manny tranny. Would an auto be easier or the same? I have a 2001 Cavi., what years would be good to use? Also, thanks for the sticky on the radio install, it was a piece of cake!
Peace Out!
1 less wire.. no clutch pedal. Stick to something with the same motor/year range as yours... so if you have the 2.2L, go with a 00-02.
Another question John? My 01 has power nothing, I mean windows and doors. I would like to add these options before I do the alarm install. Would the wreckers be reasonably priced or should I order a kit online?? I want a quick and clean install if that's possible.
Thanks again John!
Cleanest install would be the stock stuff. It's not hard to add it, if you have the patience to trace the wires in the stock harness at a wreckers. And, if they let you do that. The wreckers here are DINKS and don't let you do much at all.
Aftermarket stuff is usually cheaper, and probably easier to "add on", since that's what it's designed for. But it's universal most of the time, and likely take a while to get it right.
If you can get it cheap from the wreckers, I'd be inclined to go that route.
Thanks for all your input & suggestions!
