Python 881XP Alarm: What to get for door actuators

I have a 2004 Cavalier with no power locks.

I just got a pretty good deal on the Python 881XP alarm system.

(remote start, keyless entry, LCD remote, yadda yadda yadda)

I don't have powerlocks, but want to add it. I can get the DEI actuators for like $10 a peice. Should I get those or go to a junkyard and pull them off a junk car? $10 sounds like a good deal, but I haven't priced them before.

Also, how hard are these things to install? I haven't done it before. I've installed my headunit, chime-box thing, a 4 channel amp, and all my speakers.. I'm sure the alarm is going to be a LOT harder than that.

Thanks for the info guys!

I would go w/ the new actuators. Cause of the price and they might be under warranty. I'm looking to install a new alarm myself. As for the install, you should check out autoalarmpro.com. Looking at the site, they pretty much layout the wiring harnesses and give you vehicle specific instructions. You might find something on there useful. I think you can order a vehicle specific wiring diagram that might take away some of the headache

Quick question on your chime-box thing? I bought one @ radio shack, it has 3 wires red, black & blue. I don't know where to hook this up to? I want it to function like the original (lights on, keys in ignition, etc) I was thinking the back of my HU?

Thanks & I hope this helps!

Good Luck
Peace Out!

I'm in an 03, same situation, only with the python 700. The actuators are easy to install. I do highly reccommend getting the alarm installed proressionally, though, since it's a remote start alarm. I used to work at CC as an installer, and trust me, u want to have someone install it incase something messes up. That way they're liable, not u.
