ALright, got a 8" Cerwin-Vega HED 8 DVC sub, hooked to a Lightning audio 150WRMS amp. The sub is in a box built by me, made out of 3/4" MDF. The bass frequency is alright, but bass drum kicks are way too weak to put up with the volume my JL VR components put out. What should I do? Upgrade to a bigger amp or a better, more sensitive sub THEN the amp?
I found an Audiobahn ALUM8P Sound Q 8" woofer on ebay for 50$ brand new. Although I've never been a fan of this brand, this looks like a pretty damn good woofer for the price! Would I get much improvement?
I'd like to stick with a 8" woofer to keep my existing box. Plus I like the fact that my trunk is still functionnal and It's my opinion that 8" woofers are better at delivering SQ.
Thanks!

oh geez you started it now
