Does anyone have any problems with these?
I can get one at a reputable EBAY store with 99% feedback and 4000 sales, so I think the product will be good, but I have heard tha the Glide part on them are bad and there was a recall on another forum, but I was wondering if anyone had anything to say good or bad about this reciever, I like how you can change colors because all other alpines I think have blue buttons, and my dash is red, and the touch pad is cool, im going all alpine and I hear this is the top of the line HU w/o DVD. Thanks for the help.

My buddy has one... he loves it. No problems yet, he's had it about 4 months. I have the 9853, one model down... no problems here either, only real difference is the display.

I have the 9835, nearly the same deck just no glide, and a v-drive amp built in (27x4rms), great deck although i find the graphics not as nice and the glide bar can be very frustrating @ times. (once you learn it, it kicks ass, I really see this thing becoming a industry standard in 5 years or so.

I have it. There was a recall on it tho. and i had a unit that was on recall. the problem was with the motor that makes the face fold down or tilt wouldnt response cause the gear would warp from heat. I forgot the name of the company that made the motor but alpine changed to a different motor and i got my deck replace for free so now I have no problems. I love the deck cause there is so many features for it plus its just alpine so its a name that you cna trust. If you want pics or anything leme know. just hit me up on aim at S Chrgd Z24Cavy
I will have to take my chances I guess and try to get one after the recall... It seems like an awesome unit.
