Hey, I'm working minimum wage, $200 from every paycheck goes toward a university fund, so my car audio money supply isn't immense.
I saw some Jensen Subwoofers at WALMART, yeah I know, they were $25 dollars. I don't know the model number, I do know they were silver (ooo shiney). There are also some very cheap amps.
Any reason I SHOULDN'T go for this?

for 25 thye are nto worth, mo eliek 50 cents, ive used and they sound like crap and consistently go
i been running jensen amps the last 5 years, and most people are shocked what they are after hearing my system. i love them
its 90 percent install 10 percent equipment
Its not how fast your car goes....its how much nerve the driver has to push it that fast.
low end gear for a reason.. my first box = a prefab bandpass with jensens.. worst ever. Your best bet is to find a used ebay Type S, or Type E Alpine sub if your budget is 25 $. get a cheap amp, etc etc, will sound much better and be priced the same.
My Cav
I give up...
i'm buying a VW those people love trees, so they should love eachother too... "Andy"

.... I'm not really sure what you just said...
If you need cheap audio, Wal-Mart carries a brand called Lightning Audio (they're bright yellow), and for the money they're pretty decent. I put some 6x9's in the back when one blew out and they're defintely better than stock, and two were only $39 or so. Eventually I'll get better but right now I'm not so concerned with audio.
Err....that first line was directed at JB, I thought I hit Quote.
Yeah on ebay or even etronics.com you can find some good stuff for cheap. Just stay away from Boss, Pyle, Legacy etc etc.. if nothing else save up for a few weeks and buy something you know is nice

yea is there any advantage to 1 sub vs two subs?
I have a pair of jensens (10", cost $30 at walmart) In the box I have, they pound. Not hard, but definitely not bad. My 1000w amp blew out my 2 1000w 10" subs (Ultra Linear, 6ohm) AND the first jensen. The second jensen is still goin, though I swapped the 1000w for my 550 until I can get better subs. But the single jensen in the box with the dead jensen beside it sounds decent for a single sub. I find it was worth the $30 I paid, but I wouldnt go with them again.

not sure if you were being serious or not elf but heres a example.
2 cheap speakers may not be as loud as 1 quality sub. take efficency for example. if both subs move the same amount forwards and backwards. but the two cheap subs are 95 db efficient, but the one quality sub is 98db efficent, right there allready you have the single 10 hitting as hard as the two cheap subs. 95db + 3db for an extra sub gives the two subs a db of 98. so now your bass is the same but chances are good the quality sub will sound a bit better. not only that chances are good it will take up half the space as the two.
