I'm getting a set of CDT components for my car very soon and i know you should mount the tweeter close to the speaker but i read on the CDT site something about mounting the tweeters so they are pointing towards the front winshield on the a pillar? But im not sure if i can do this or if it only sounds good with some tweeters. any help would be apreciated
That is where mine are, though most Sound Quality competitors will tell you Do NOT bounce them off the windshield. Aim them straight across at each other about 4 inches off the dash. This will help give you an illusion of a higher sound stage.
If you are seeking to compete and intersted in the best sound you can achive I would say yes do this. But if you are just interested in improving the stock sound and cruising town, its a whole lot easier to buy a set of Q-Forms and put them in the kicks with the woofers.

decent soundstage, clean looking install. CDT wins period.

Fantastic Purchase. I own the CL 62i's myself.
My Cav
I give up...
i'm buying a VW those people love trees, so they should love eachother too... "Andy"
best sound i can get out of my tweeters, the woofers are in the doors
only thing that i can say is the drivers side is a little blocked by the gauge cluster, but unless u wanna compete... its not noticable
This is where i put mine on my sunfire!
jeff thes really clean looking
Thanks alot of people seem to like it and it sounds good
Make some kicks and aim them to meet on the head rest. If you have a laser pointer use that.
i forgot to mention that i didnt have to drill any holes in anything to install mine...
thats an extra plus
