how do i do this ? i have a spare DVD player and i would like to use it to play mp3 for now later it will play movies when ill get a screen ,the thing is idont know how to hook it to the car speakers (I have an alpine cdm-7874) and no amp as of now!
home DVD players often do not have the vibration dampening of mobile players, even regular road vibration will often cause a home player to skip horribly. if you just want to play mp3's you can pick up a cheap walkman style player.

well if your HU has rca inputs just plug the dvd player into those
u can get a small dvd player for a car next to nothing on ebay.. stop cheaping out n buy one
