I have quite a bit of White Noise in my stereo. I used to just deal with it, but now I have decided I can't stand hearing it. What are some of the best ways to get rid of it, I ordered Monster Cable RCA's Cables, but they won't be in for about 6 weeks. Anyone have any tips?
used a 30 band eq.. Iv never heard of white noise.. but i have heard of pink noise.. And you only hear pink noise when the car is hooked up to a special meter, and you play the cd that they tune a sterio to..
You are talking about hiss right? Like at the end of a song when its quit and you hear it then? You need higher voltage preouts on your head unit, or turn your gain down on the amp.
hmmmm, I guess the only way to change the voltage on the preouts is to change the head unit, so I reckon the only way I can do this without buying a new head unit is to turn my gain's down.
You can get devices to boost your line level voltages.

tell me more about these devices......
Line drivers like what Lanman is talking about go in line with your RCAs and boost the voltage up. For a good one you're probably looking close to the price of a new deck though.

You can get an MA audio line driver that'll power 2 sets of rca's to 9 volts for around 35 bucks cheap.
