Might those subs run in a big PVC tube? I have no idea what the type of enclosure is called, but i know a guy that had two DD 12's and they were each mounted in a 20 something inch PVC tube, with just free air for the rest of the enclosure. I think he was hitting like a 150 something with it, crossfire amps (no idea what kind of power), and this was in like 2000.

He had PVC tubes that were the same diameter as the mounting ring of the sub, and they were roughly 20 something inches long. It had to have been at least 1/2'' inch thick tube, because they were screwed into it. Essentially after that they were facing inside the trunk, but there wasn't any box to speak of. They just kind of fired free air. I'm trying to find more about it, or see if i have some pictures.
has any one found out any info yet on this? if they are comming out soon im going to sell my 15
