Hey guys, well it's almost midnight and I have my car all taken apart. I am finally doing the fiberglass enclosures for my Alpine 12" type Rs.(I'm doing a step by step so keep an eye out for it.). While the resin dries I thought I would throw in my 6x9 also Type Rs. Well I got the panel around the window off and the rear deck is out too. I pulled out the stock 6x9s, man are those tiny. As many of you know aftermarket 6x9s don't fit into the stock openning. I wanted to do a fiberglass thing with the rear deck but not until I'm done the subs. I wanted to know how some of you have mounted your speakers with out cutting up that rear deck ( the metal part). Does mounting the speakers from the bottom work ok. I would think they hit the tension bars. Any help would be great.
i mounted mine from the bottom....fliped the adapter upside down. it is very close to the torsion bars but mine dont hit anymore
Here are how i did mine, hit really really good, no rattle, no cutting or modding except for the carpet and such
It's a four banger, you gotta bang it four times to get it goin'....
Dude theres nothing there? All I get is nice red X. Ha HA. I think I will try and see if they work from the bottom.
