I was wondering how you burn music videos that ive downloaded on to a DVD to play them in an in dash.. I never have to luck ive tried and it doesnt play i was just wondering what you guys do.. also when hooking up the screen to play whle driving your suppose to tap the park brake.. in order for it to work always would u tap a 12v or a ground? i would imagine its one of those that sends a single for the player to work i just dont know which one.. thanx!
i also have a DVD burner.. and nero and pretty much any program so its not a problem.
You need to author the .mpg or the .avi files. Check nero's site, they should have an authoring tool. www.nero.com
Beat it like it owes you money
author it? what do u mean wut does that include i have no idea

Basically it is making all the files into a format that the DVD player can understand. It will make your chapters, menu's, VBO Files etc. Try these site's they should give you a better understanding of how to make a DVD.
Site 1
Site 2
Site 2 is probably the better site of these 2.
josh
so i have to spend more money on authoring tools?.. or no ill check out the sites
What type of computer are you using, What Operating System? Also the DVD Burner might have come with the authoring software. You might be able to find the software for free.
i have an HP. i have XP sony dvd burner i just use 1click dvd copy to burn exact copies that all i ever use it for.. most of my video are avi and mpeg mpg ect.. so i have to convert these to vob's?.. is that correct ? anyone know of some software for free
When I had an Indash dvd player, I would just use nero and burn a vcd. Worked everytime.

if you have avi and mpeg files you will have to convert them to dvd format. You can find programs to do it for free.
ulead dvd workshop 2 is ok and easy for beginners.

you tap a ground for it to play while your driving...or you can just pull the ebrake up one click so the computer thinks your in park that way the brakes wont grab. and if you get pulled over you can just let down the ebrake and they wont know you were watching tv while driving...

a hidden toggle switch can also be used. that way you can flick it if you get pulled over and they ask you to show it can only be on while you're parked.

i JUST went through this issue a week ago myself, search for a program called dvd santa either through google or if your familiar with torrents you can get this program easily. it will do exactly what u want, i've been watching mpg music videos all week in my car
DvD Santa is pretty easy too. Could give that a try.
thanx a ton sounds awsome imma check it out right now... and im not too worried about getting "caught" watching tv its only a 10.00 ticket..lol and the chances of them writing it up is very slim and none.
Nero vision 3 will convert those but it takes long well at least for me, pretty easy and you can get a trial from nero
wow i used dvd santa.. it takes like 5min just for one video holy @!#$.. and it doesnt even say how many i can put on one disk
