Suggestions on Sub Box for 3 10"S

Alright, I bought 3 10" RE RE subs. I know they are entry level, but i got a really really good deal on them. I am shooting for 3 cubic feet and wondered if anybody else has built a box for the cavy for 3 10s. Its going to be im guessing 36" long x 20" deep x 14.5" high, or what dimensions did you use?

36 wide x 14 tall x 17.5 deep will give you 3 cubic feet internal.

Sweet. So i suppose i will do 19" deep to make up for the 3/4 MDF for the port?

Good to see you went with RE, you definitely won't regret it. Once you get the box finished post up your results.

I think if you call RE (or e-mail) they can give you box spec's too.

yea man...i'm WELL aware of the specs. but they don't list the displacement of the sub.

you need that in order to design the box properly.

Mr. Loki on caraudio.com said to build it like this...

14 x 34 x 16

H x W x D
port size is going to be 2 inches wide, 12 inches high, 12.5 inches deep.
Thats going to be a total of 3.4 cubes of total air space and tuned to 34 hz.

How are you going to wire three DVC 3.2ohm subs to a MTX 6500d? You're looking for 4ohms for each input, since the amp is internally bridged and "2ohm stable"..

I assume the overall displacement is roughly 0.08 cubic feet for most entry level 10" subwoofers.

Check my sig for ported sub box designs.
