I am looking at an MP3 CD player on ebay that came out of an 04 Fire. The guy says it will only fit an 03-05 model. Really want to get tit cause I have a lot of music and want to cram it all on one cd. Will this fit in my 02 Fire. prolly stupid question. looks like it would fit, but just want to be sure before I buy. thanx in advance

It will fit no problem.. but you will have to go to the GM dealer to get it reprogrammed because the radio communicates with the BCM and it will lock it out because the VIN's won''t match.

You might as well just buy aftermakret, cheaper & you will be happier in the long run.

Jacob B is right, it will fit without a problem. You will have to go the dealer to get the theftlock removed. When you do this test it out right there before you leave. I have an MP3 player out of a Grand Am GT and I Love it. The first time I had my theftlock removed, the radio acted funny. I'd have to drive for 30sec to 2 minutes before it would work right. I had it done again at another dealership and he messed around with the programing. It has been working perfect ever since. I wish I could remember exactly what he did. I do remember that the first dealer used the typical setting for whatever the GA GT was and the second dealer said that because I drove a cavalier it would be a slightly different setting. Again it was the second dealer who got it to work perfect. Good luck.
