Next weekend im gettin a sytem installed. Wondering what you guys thought of the setup and if youve had any expieriance with the stuff I picked out...
*Pioneer Premium DEH-P470 headunit (wanted pioneer because I have the 3500 in my truck and love it)
*Alpine V12 Amp
*2 Alpine 10" Type R Subwoofers
If it helps any or anything, the subs are 500W RMS/1500W Peak, and the amp is 700W... i know i wont have my speakers at their max potential, thats ok with me, least i know i couldnt blow em.
sounds good to me, i have the alpine 9847 deck adn a 800 watt pioneer amp going to my one type R and that ish pounds the hell out of my car, im getting a nother pioneer 4 channel amp for my speakers though
hmmmm.... I am confused, and the Blonde genius that is me,
does not easily get confused
yea its gonna be LOTS of bass... and no highs
i dont know thaaat much about audio stuff, just the basics really. anything specific u meant by no highs?
i just got a mono amp, specific for the bass because i already have premium speakers in my car now, eventually will upgrade but thats all i need
sounds good.
a lot of people start with upgrading the speakers first, then adding a sub. i say a sub is the first thing you should get

id say find a diffrent deck, something with at least 4v pre out or a pre-amp eq with 4 v out for a stronger signal. as for the amp its not a 700 watt amp realisticaly you can get about 220 watts rms, 300 peak per channel at 2 ohms and you cant bridge mono it at that point because the amp is only 1.33 ohm stable so your going to be underpowering them by alot depending on what model you got, some want 300 rms 1000 peak and the other wants 500 rms and 1500 peak
