im just wondering the best spot to run 4gauge wire through the firewall from the battery. i mean, is there pre-holes that will work, because ireally dont feel like drilling holes through there. ive seen some different cars run it around near the door hinges but that doesnt seem possible. any input will be appreciated, thx =)
running it through the fender is a big NO NO!!!
drivers side behind the pedals there is a big rubber grommet...poke a hole in that and stick your wire through.

Yep! Big, friendly rubber grommet on the firewall left of the brake pedal. Should be light grey! Easiest car to run a power wire through.

^^^ What they said. I have mine running through the clutch pedal rubber grommet.
why is the fender path a bad one?
hmm...i can't even count how many cars have come in with the power wire completely rubbed in half because of that

Take a wire from your positive battery post and touch it to your frame. Then tell us what happens.
That's why it's bad.

The system has arrived.

It's all good man. Everyone forgets things everynow and then.
BTW: Hope I didn't come across as an a$$. Re-reading my post it seems like I was being a prick.

lmao..i've seen em run it outside the trunk, through the rear quarter window..over the front seat...THEN through the fender, lmao. (they were also using 16 awg wire for power and ground, lmao)

"this is only the beginning"
my 2nd cousin ran his power wire through his fender through the hinges of the door and inside the interior. I just shook when i saw that. I offered to fix it for him for free but he had to be a hard ass and think his way was all correct so i didnt touch it. Amazingly car hasnt caught on fire yet.
It's those people who think they are right. We offered a "Pimp My Stereo Contest" this summer for reasons like that. We had 5 entries, and not one of them actually needed our help.....
