i want to wire up some neons under the dash in my grand am, i got the lights that just plug into your cigarette lighter, i was wondering if i can just cut that end off and run a ground and a wire to my battery and just use a switch in the line.
yes thats exactly how you do it, dont forget to fuse the wire going to the battery.
i heard ur not suppose to ground it to ur battery?.. just wut i hear tho most electronics say it on the wrapper.. just ground it under ur carpet or rocker panel.. no sence all that wire just for a ground..
Wire the positive wire to the accy wire in the drivers kick panel (brown?) Then you won't have to worry about turning them on and off. Because they'll always be on when the key is in the run position.

im not sure either, but when i wired my fogs the brown wire was for when the parking or headlights were on, which would be more pratical for neon lights
and also wouldnt that draw too much current from a switch wire? you would have to use a relay wouldnt you?
im no expert just asking more questions lol
You wouldnt "have" to use a relay... I mean if fire and sparks is your thing.
You're reading my line-break, you are a loser.
Neons won't need a relay. It is not going to spark. Make sure it is fused. Neon uses very little current. Neons won't need a relay if you are only running a few. When you start putting 3 or 4 underbody kits in your car, it is time to relay them.
