is 1 enough?

after asking around, i decided to get 100 ft. of fatmat off ebay. its scheduled to be here soon....and i was wondering if one later throughout the car is enough? is there going to be a dramatic difference? would 2 layers be necessary? or over kill? or would i be satisfied with one layer throughout the car? and is 100 ft enough for the entire car? if not, i'll do parts like under the carpet and behind panels..then save the trunk for another time bc it would be easier to do...vs. taking out the whole interior-

100 square ft, i assume, then yes its enough for 1 car, and you will even have some left over.

As for if you should double it, I dont know, what system are you running?

i have 2 12" sony xplods in the trunk, then pioneers in the doors. one main reason i got the sound deadening is to cut down on "outside" noise, like the road and all that, so the quieter the better. lol-

id personally go with 2 layers over the areas that need it most. only you can decide if its enough, i used around 350sq. ft. of damping material. and at close to 140db its quiet enough that u barely hear the bass from 5' away.
