1 15" L7 ?'s
Tuesday, August 02, 2005 9:52 AM
I am thinking about getting a 15" L7 prob. dual 2ohm to run 1ohm. What would be a good box for this, sealed or ported? also should i seal off my trunk and fire it into the cabin or have it rear facing. I am also thinking about getting the kx1200 amp to push it also. any help comments/concerns greatly appreciated.

Well you want more SQ or SPL? Personally I'd go sealed box firing to the rear of the car. I'd build the box as big as you can go to spec's so you can get all the low end bass you can get out of it.

Also, from what I've heard the L5 can take as much power as the L7 and sound just as good it's just cheaper. I don't know if that's fact, but my L5 with 800wRMS running to it sounds pretty good.

dont be mean to that L7 and seal it. Give it what it deserves nice, low tuned ported enclosure.
