i was wondering how i would go about installing a 2nd amp for my speakers/or subs because i have the subs and 2 speakers runnign on my 4ch amp and i want to have both sets on separate amps but im not sure how to get the rem,power and rca connections to the 2nd amp? do i need a 2nd set of all those wires or can i just splicle 2nd connections from all of them and put a splitter on the rca's?

You need distribution blocks for power and ground, you cain daisy chain the remote turn on wire. As far as RCAs go, alot 2 & 4 channel amps have passthrus for the RCAs, check your amp for RCAs that say output. If it doesn't you'll need to use Y adapters.

you 100% need a distribution block for the power wires, however my car has 2 amplifiers (Scosche 550W 2-Ch & Kenwood 400W 4-Ch) and I only have 1 distribution block. I chained the ground wires and the remote wires. However chaining the power wires will not work.
^^^ Right. I have a distro block for the power wires, then I spliced the remote wire and ran those to each amps, but when I grounded the amps I don't have them hooked up to a distro block. The amp in my trunk is grounded on the strut tower and the amp under my seat is grounded on the seat bracket. Most people will say you should ground all your grounds at the same point but I have yet to have any noise or problems from not doing so.
www.darvex.com is where I got my distro block. Remember also when you are splitting power wires you NEED to use a fused block while splitting/joining ground wires you don't need a fused block.

Daisy chaining the ground wires is just as bad as chaining the power wires. I would definitely reccomend getting a fused distribution block for the power wire and a nonfused block for the grounds.

if your deck has more than one rca output you definitely want to use the right one on the right amp. Some cheaper decks just have one but you get a little more expensive one and theyll have 2 or 3. One for your subs and one for your speakers or one for your front and one for the rear in wich case youd want to run 2 or 3 sets of rca's.
another thing you might want to think of, if you just have the small amp under your seat you could just run an extra power wire from the battery instead of robbing power from your other amp. It would probably cost about the same to get a some power wire and a fuse holder as buying a distribution block

these you could do that with ease. I went with the distro block because it has a volt meter on it and I mounted the block in my car so I can monitor my volts in my car instead of having to pop the hood etc etc.
