So I know how to install the amp and everything, ive dont it a million times, I just dont know how to wire the speakers to the amp.
Any help or a picture would ne great>
Do i go from the headunit to the speakers then from the speakers to the amp?
RCAs from headunit to amp. Speaker wire from amp to speakers.

thanks chris, thats all I needed to know. I just didnt want the amp to treat the speakers like subs and give me base. But then again I guess thats why it is a 4ch amp and not a 2 ch. lol
set the amp to a high pass filter and they'll give you highs. if you set it to low pass filter then it'll give you bass. an amp is an amp, all it does it amplify. just cause its a 4 channel amp doesnt mean its not going to give bass, its going to give whatever you want it to.
ahem... SomeGuy....did someone forget about the all pass option? lol, wont make it all bass, and wont give you nothing but highs, most of your coaxials will handle the all pass, and if they were components, you would want all pass anyway, the crossover would let the bass and mids go to the speaker and the highs go to the tweeters. either way hi or low arent your ONLY options, and just out of curiosity, what amp are ya running and what speakers?
On the other hand....you have other fingers.

i had lots of toys when i was young.slinky,etc.but once i found my penis, that was all she wrote
they are Alpine type E 6.5s and the amp is a 4ch Alpine v12 240. I got the Type E for the doors and when I order my kick panels Im gonna get the type R comp. Set.

why would you want ANY amount of bass going to your coaxials or component speakers? thats what subs are for. and they can handle alot more watts without the bass. i've never set them to anything but high pass. unless he doesnt have any subs, in which case, dont turn the gains up to high... i dont htink they can handle it.
i just recently installed a 4 channel amp myself, in my 96 sunfire. Re-run all the wires man, do NOT run thenm to where the headunit sends the signal. That stock wire is SO thin. I ran mine under my carpet trim, along with my RCA's. So you see 0 wires. The door itself has a black spongey thing, you can sue that to run your wires from the interior to the inside of the door so you dont' see your wires.
Now, my question for ya'll. Now that i have my 4 channel amp hooked up, can i use my 2 front channels off of my headunit powering for tweeters? I have RCA's sending front and rear signals to my amp, so could i use my front 2 speaker wires from my headunit to power a set of tweeters?
You can if you put a low-pass crossover in the line. You don't wan tweeters getting a full range signal because they will blow as soon as you try to have them play lower frequencies with the volume turned up. A better idea would be to get a set of crossovers and run the tweeters off the amp with the front speakers.

When I wired mine up I ran the high pass to my coaxial 6X9's and my component 6.5's. I think it really depends on the frequency response of the speakers your using though.
My 6.5 components are only good from 65-22,000 Hz, so they sound MUCH better when I'm not trying to send them lower frequencies. My 6X9 coaxials are set at like 80 Hz and above on the high pass and sound quite good at higher volumes without any distortion. When I had those on full they were distorting pretty bad at high volumes.
I ran 14 guage wire from the amp to every speaker in the car. Like said above, don't try to reuse any of the factory wiring.

It all depends really. 10's can supply you with fantastic midbass, and all your lows. But 12 + woofers = nearly no midbass.... It is all in your setup.
