Somebody cut out my factory radio and the factory harness. I am trying to hard wire another cd player in 0but I dont know the color codes for a 2004 cavalier
are the colors on the harness and kit that u got not the same as ur wires, ur wires should have a the names of where one wire hooks to another.(ignition to ignition) ur wires should say that
the gm wiring scheme is not the same as aftermarket (green, white, purple, gray). sorry dude. i did this once in a 2002 but i cant remember for the life of me. Some steal your radio??
left front +tan, -gray
right front, +lt.green, -dk. green
left rear, +brown, -yellow
right rear, +dk. blue, -lt. blue
12v orange
ground, black
gonna have to run your own ignition lead to the fuse box or preferrably to the ignition harness

Thanks for your help. somebody broke into my car and jacked my radio and cut the wiring harness then they stole everything else in my car from intake to b&m shifter to my msd ignition. they got it all. thanks for the help though with that info, I got it to work.
in my cobalt if you peeled back the rubber inside the doors u could see the speaker wire colors and if u looked in the trunk at the speakers u could see the speaker wire colors.... i dont know if the cavaliers are the same way.
