ok...this is going to probably be hard to understand but bare with me.....

i have
-3 JL Audio 12 inch sub woofers with 125 watt countinus power handling, Single Voice Coil

-My head unit is an Alpine, it says 45 watts x 4 amplifiers on it....

i dont know anything about the amps i will need. i was thinking 2, 300 or 2, 200 watt amps, i konw the 300 watts are better but thats not the point....i just need to know what they need to be....like what RMS? How many Channels? The EQ bull @!#$.....SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!! Im having it professionaly installed.....

maybe it would be easier if i know what RMS..Channels....and EQ was....???

the 3 jl's your gonna want on a 3/4 channel amp probably in the 500W range and a nother 500W 2 channel amp for the 2 10's and as for the eq i dont know much about them but your gonna want all at least 8 awg wire too and 50-70amp fuses and whatnot.

i would buy two mono channel amps. one 500w jl monoblock for your 3 12's and one 300 watt monoblock for your 2 tens. Run them at about 1 ohm and listen to greatness. oh and if your having it professionally done why do you need to know this, because they will tell you what you need or what you should at least have if they are a good installers.

^^^^^ Don't do that.

First off, do you need 5 subs? I would stick with just the 3 12w0s. I'm going to assume they are the 4ohm model. Wired parallel they will present a 1.33ohm load so you'll need an amp that's 1ohm stable. Recommendations:

Orion 600D
PrecisionPower DCX 500.1
JL Audio 500/1

You'll need atleast 4awg power and ground, I would recommend 2awg.

If you want to run the 2 10s also we'll need to know some specs on them or atleast a model #

Lastly, if you are having a professional install them why don't you ask what they would recommend?

i dont know what to do really, the 3 12's combined are only 375 watts....and the 2 10's are 400. i guess i will just have to talk to the people at horizion. i mean i was thinking just 2 300 watt amps or something. i suck with this stuff. thanks for all the help. i dont know who to listen to or anything ill just have to check with them.

Orinon 600D

PrecisionPower DCX 500.1

JL Audio 500/1

There ya go..... Even though JL's site says the 12w0s will only take 125w RMS each they will take more..... And that will be a ton of bass, I hope you are upgrading your other speakers. I would recommend a nice set of 6.5" Components in front and a nice 2ch amp to run them.

Not really. I need a brand/model so I can find out what it will handle for real. BTW if this is going into a cav, where are you planning on stuffing all these?

Forget the 10s. According to your site you have 3 12w0s and 2 12w3s. I would get two of the Orion amps, one for each set of 12s. Run the three w0s in the middle and the w3s on the sides like your drawing. Gonna be a sh!t load of bass.....

Woah woah woah, correct me if I'm wrong, but is this going to sound decent at all? If I have this straight you are getting a 3-12" box which is going to house 2 12W0's and a 12W3v2? Followed by 2 10" thumps? In order to get this to sound decent you're probably going to need an electronic crossover to cross the 10's at a higher level of midbass then the 12's, and I'm not even sure what to make of mixing the 12w0's with the 12w3v2. I'd be very interested in knowing how this sounds when it's all good to go. Don't be surprised if you find that the 12w3v2 sounds better powered properly on it's own.

Yes it would work (make noise) but it's not the proper way to do it.
