I dont have the slightest clue on whats going on, I had Best Buy install a JVC KD-LH3100 and when I turn it up too loud then it will cut out and shut off and back on real quick. I hve 2 12" subs at 450w a piece and a 1200w 4-channel amp and the subs are briged. Some people have said I might need to run a direct power wire from my cd player to the battery, and others have said that I am over-powering my subs...Any help would be great. Thanks, Mark Brown
it sounds like to me that u need to run a direct power wire from ur stereo to ur cd player.

mine does the exact same thing... im also over powering my sub but i dont think that would effect the deck. my deck cuts off with the subs on or not. It happens at high volume though. I had mine installed at circuit city. I asked a local shop audio express over the phone what they thought and they said possibly a speaker or two of mine were "taking dumps" like shorting out at high volume. BUt it does it on all 4. It just seems when the deck needs more power it takes a crap. I thought maybe i have a bad ground or something. Because i know amps turn off with bad grounds. Any ideas?

yeah, it sounds like you need to run a direct line to your battery as well as a switched power source. what HU are you running, I know I had to run one for my alpine 9833. make sure you stick a fuse in there too

seems to be a common problem, mines been doing it too, I hate it. If anybody knows, please share your knowledge.
Run a fuse tap from your HU to the fuse box. Make sure you use thick enough wire.. I think I used 14 or 16 awg
Check all the wireing to make sure that no bare wires are sticking out of the bundles. Stock wire harness is good enough for all but the most extreme systems.
i had the same problem what realy is happening is your under powering your speakers and your deck cannot give any more power so it shuts off. Try putting it on only front or rear speakers and see if it still does it if it does you probly need an external amp for your door speakers if thats not it idk what to tell you
