ive done some searches and found a few tricks and such but nothing has worked for me so i was wondering if anyone has any ideas to get my car started

i put the key in and the theft light comes on solid and will not start

i tried the leave it on for 10 minutes then turn it off then try to start and all that but nothing seems to work

also would a tech II be able to solve this problem...i have access to one but im not to sure how to use one other than to check codes and disable drl's

Ok... start the car, if should start then die. After it dies, leave the key in the ON position... the theft light will flash the whole time. Leave it there until the theft light turns off, then turn off the key, wait 5 seconds, then start it. Should work. I can't remember if it's 10 minutes or 30 minutes on the 99's... but wait til it stops flashing.
