Alright well i've tried to read through old posts on .org and other audio sites but still am confused one what to get. I have one:
12" infinity reference
1230w max
300w rms
4 ohms
I am also deciding on weather to get another of the same sub so what amp specs should i look for with either set up.

Is it a SVC or DVC sub?
First off:
SVC 1 sub:
You want a 2ch amp bridged, or mono wired regularly.
SVC 2 subs:
You want a mono amp wired in parallel, like so:
DVC 1 Sub:
Mono amp wired as such:
DVC 2 Subs:
You need a 1ohm stable amp, either that or you need to run at 4ohms - I don't personally reccommend this setup, but audiophiles dont seem to mind running 1ohm.
You probably want AT LEAST 250watts powering the sub if you only have one, and maybe 200 each if you get two. It's up to you though. Personally, I would go with just one sub though.
Is that dual voice coil and single voice coil? If so says 2" voice coil

with that sub, there are a number of amps you can use........if you only use one Single Voice Coil sub u need to have an amp that can power:
300 Watts x 1 Channel at 4 Ohms
If you use two of the same sub, u need to have an amp that can powers
300 Watts x 2 Channels at 4 Ohms
or
600 Watts x 1 Channel at 2 Ohms
The Dual Voice Coil subs just change the Ohms, you just need to look it into it a little more.
