alarm thinks my door is open...

well today when i got to work and armed my alarm my pager (viper 790xv) registered one of my doors being open im going to check it out after work, but anybody have any ideas as to what could be wrong.

WIring from the alarm unit to the door pins... or a bad door pin... did you install it yourself? If not... take it where it was installed because they'll know exactly where to look.

yeah that was my guess. i installed it and its been working fine for 2 months now and this is the only problem i have had. but i have to wait till tommorow when i have off to take a look. with my car, its a lumina the wiring for the door pins was only to one pin that was the drivers door.

Yep, probably a rusty old bad door pin.

that happened to me and my car is only at 43k, the plunger stayed stuck in. take some silicone spray, and spray it on the plunger while pushing it in and out a couple times, it should fix the problem.

lmao it was a fuse... i found this out after i took my door pins and then dash apart, the reason y it blew was because something in the trunk light shorted out... hmm maybe to many vibrations from the subs.
