Visonik Subs?

Are these subs any good or are they junk?...I want to get a temp system until I get my XXX's. On etronics.com they have some Visonik V126S4 12" for like $50ea. 250rms/500peak. Im thinking about getting 2 of these and running them on my RF Punch 160.2a amp. Ill only be pushing about 150 watts to each of them. Im not a audio guy so I dont know much. But would only running 150watts to these subs be ok?
Thx,
Michael

I have one of their single 10's that come in their bandpass box. I'm pretty happy with it and some of my friends say its pretty good (especially for the price).

Crutchfield has Rockford Punch Stage 1s for $120 for 2 12", and $11 for shipping.

Rockford Fosgate P112S4

BTW how are you going to get 150w per sub from that amp?

You might be better off with a single Alpine Type-S SWS-1222D. the VCs wired in series will give you a 4ohm load. According to RF that'll give you about 235w from your amp. The Type-S is 300w RMS.

Alpine SWS-1222D 12" Subwoofer $85 at Etronics

I have owned Visonik subs, I have not tried out or heard "this generations" (aka 2005) product lineup, but I have heard their 2003 and 2004 stuff. LOUD YES, Qaulity ? well lets just put them at not quite Alpine... but not quite legacy/jensen/volfenhag either. they are a middle class sub. They have a hard time hitting the really low notes as well, just a fare warning. Good for their price, although if you can find any Clif Designs stuff you will be better off.

Ill be running 150watts per sub because thats exactly how it was setup when I had my old Punch Z 12's.They busted after only having them for 4 years. The amp maxes out at 302watts. I believe it was bridged but I dont really know. I had it installed at a local shop that is a licensed dealer for RF and Eclipse so I would imagine that they know what theyre doing.

I wont be getting a new amp because this one still works and I just want to get new subs. I want 2 12's since I already have a box, and I dont want to pay for another one if I were to get one single 12". BTW its an Audiobahn box rated to handle 900watts or at least thats what the guy told me when I traded him my old cheap flea market box for that one.

Does anyone know of any other cheap but halfway decent sounding subs. I just want something that sounds close to or better than my Punch Zs.
Thx,
Michael

www.ikesound.com You can pick up some Type 'R's for 100 $ with warrenty., even Type "s' would suit your needs in comparision to your old subs and they are even cheaper.

^^I looked on that site and all I could find was type-r's for like $100 each. I dont want to spend much money on this system as it will only be in the car for about 4-6 months. This will just be a temporary setup until I can get my RE XXX 12's and my Memphis amps to power them.

On a side note I did find some Lanzar subs for like $20 each ($57 something shipped for 2), now I already know they are the greatest subs out there, but will they at least do what theyre supposed to do? I just want some bass, Im getting tired of listening to music with hardly no bass. The litle bit I get from my Rockford Fosgate 6x9s is ok but only on a couple of songs will it vibrate my mirrors.
Thx,
Michael

i bought a visonik package at, ack pepboys, its 2 10s, 800 peak, and a 400 watt amp, all in a box, and for the $130 i spent i am very very satisfied with it. Now you cant really hear it outside my car but i can def feel it inside. for the money you spend i think it is def worth it.
