hey
i have a 2001 sunfire gt with monsoon and was wondering how exactly i hook up the line converter i bought so i can have rcas for my amp/subs. its a raptor one with 2 white (1 white 1 white and black) 2 grey (1 grey 1 grey and black) and 2 solid brown wires, its the 2 brown ones that are throwing me off here, so any help a.s.a.p. would be great, thx
does one of the brown ones have a black stripe on it? i have never seen one that dosn't have a red and black wire, i would guess that one of brown wires is a positive, but i am not really sure. Do you have the directions for it. Or you could hook up the wires that go to the speakers and then hook the browns up to the power and ground and see if the subs come on, ya know trial and error

is a power and ground nessasary, since the speakers already have it , can i not hook the 2 whites to the left rear speaker and the 2 greys to the right rear speaker and just leave the browns unhooked ??
no it has to have power and ground, but this one is funny if you know what i mean so try it and see if the subs come on if they do and sound good then use it

ok and where do i hook the power up to, cus i've removed the factory deck to see like 20 wires taped together, i can locate the right ones for the speakers but the power and ground go where???
do you have a power tester that lights up when the tip touches a hot wire that would be the easiest way or you can look for the OEM color codes for your car that would probably be the easiest way that is what i had to do for a Lincoln LSS when i put the line converter in ther it makes it easier to know the color codes. Go to Google and type in OEM COLOR CODES, AND THE TYPE AND YEAR OF YOUR CAR and that should bring up some sites that would have it
