So I am in the middle of switching out all 4 speakers with Rockfords I got in my 02 Cavalier Sport. The 4x6's in the door were pretty straightforward. Someone sent me the link with the instructions on removing the rear deck and after some stuggle and some force it finally came out. I got the new speakers to fit somewhat decently in the mounting brackets and then when I tried to hook them up and test them, the sound was incredibly weak from the back. I was told the following:
LF Speaker + - tan
LF Speaker - - gray
RF Speaker + - light green
RF Speaker - - green
LR Speaker + - brown
LR Speaker - - yellow
RR Speaker + - blue
RR Speaker - - light blue
so even though the harness has 4 wires going into the factory, the new 6x9s only have two so i hooked the positive to the blue and negative to the light blue and the sound was quiet and the quality very poor. If anyone can help me with these connections concerning the 4 wires down to 2, it would be greatly appreciated as I just had to quit for the night with the back of my car still in pieces.
