05 cavi no drivers side headlight, bulb is good but no low beam-high beam works, is there a relay under the hood near the front or would it just be in the switch?

You sure the bulb is good? Sometimes the low-beam cuts out and the high still works.

To answer your question though, remove bulb from socket... use a multimeter or test light. See if there's power at the socket. If so, bulb's shot. If not, could be a blown fuse.

The realy and switch "should" work both the lights....It sounds like ya have a loose/broken wire. Use a test light or voltmeter the see how much if any juice it getting to it and start tracing the wire.....Oh ya I've seen bulbs go out and still look like there OK (filimit still intact) before you do anything try replacing the bulb to see what happens and make sure its the right one.....you could swith your headlights bulbs around and make it easier since you know the passenger side works.
