Unless your car is one temp all the time of course it will take a while to move around. Your car wont go from like 50 to 150+ instantly.. It takes my car anbout 5+ min to reach the middle line on the gauge.

check to see if your thermostat has been removed.

i meant when i start the car and its warm and summer so it used to jump right up to the middle 195 i believe but the other day it stopped and now takes awhile to get up to the middle and so i was wondering if its a sensor cuz the coolant is not low.

What is "forever" and "a while" in terms of minutes?

about 3-5 mins at least for the needle to go up

well if you turn the car off, and then turn it on 5 minutes later(like when your in the supermarket), then its still gonna be warm when you turn it on. maybe thats why it used to jump up so fast. i know mine takes 3-5 minutes in the monring, but during the day it takes less.

Your car doesn't jump from ambient (outside temp) to operating temp in 10 seconds. 3-5 minutes is normal and nothing to worry about.
