hey whats up everyone im new to the audio part of modding and i recently purchased a 12" kicker solobaric L7 and an audiobahn A8000T 800 watt mono block amp. im lookin for a deck to buy but i dont know where to start because everyone i know round here claims their brand is the best. price doesnt really matter as long as its below 400 or 500 dollars. also i was curious what kind of speakers would be good and what size? should i get another amp to push them or will the deck be enough? thanks guys
my suggestion is to have another amp push them, but it depends on what you are looking for... I like my music loud with quality, so I went the two amp route... also your listening preference would dictate the type and size of your speakers... I have a pair of 4x6 pioneers in my door tied to my deck to help shift the balance more forward... most everyone here is talking alpine or pioneer... I have had a kenwood and it did well for me with only stock speakers in my corsica a few years back...
It can never be too fast nor hit too hard!!!!

Alpine CDA 9835 ( If you can find one), CDA 9855 or CDA 9853. All pre 500 American, the 9853 is less then 400. If you live in Ontario I can get you a 9835 from a local dealer who still has some in stock for a good price. Gl.
1. Alpine
2. Eclispe (To much money.. if they were cheaper I could slide them into # 1)
3. Kenwood eXcelon
4. Pioneer Premier
5. Clarion (Not to keen on the last 2 Gen's)
+ HAs anyone heard or even seen a Planet Audio HU ? The stats from what I can see on there website look quite impressive.. I really need to see on in action / hear it.

i have a eclispe 3434 series.. and i think it cost me around $ 250-$350.. the only thing that sucks about it is that it doesnt have a pause button.. for some reasno, so models dont come with it.. i love eclipse, i have had pioneer before but if i were to choose b/w those 2 i would go for eclipse.. but thats my opinion
/////Alpine 9831
Love it
Has a 50 watt amp in it (never used it ) good for highs and mids... also has sub channel
I say eclipse. i own one and let me tell you. it is awesome. The customer service is great, and they have one of the best security featers ever. if power is cut from the deck you need a certain disk for it to work... if you put in the wrong disk 3 times a 1 800 number will apear... you call it and and they ask for your name and and the serial number on programmed in the deck.... when you buy an eclipse deck. from a dealer, your name address, and code are sent to the head office of eclipse. if the name and code match the one in the computer. They mark it as stolen, and the phone number is then turned into the cops. When i heard this i was like yeah right, but my deck was stolen outta my car, and i called eclipse right away and they told me that someone called with problems with my deck, and they were arrested for stolen property and i got a new deck free from eclipse.
