Profile Amps

Anyone used them? What do you think of them? I'm looking at a Profile AP1040 to power one set of Alpine Type-R coaxials and a single Type-S 10" sub (2+2) in 3 channel mode. This is for a co-worker and she is on a tight budget. My other option is a Alpine MRP-F240 it's less power and about $30 more.
