Does anyone have these in there car or have used/heard them? I am wondering how the quality of these subs is, bith manufacture quality and sound quality.
I am not looking for anything really loud or high powered. Just something that will sound good and look good.
I am thinking of adding 4 x 12" subs powered by my JL 500/, which is lots of power to run them by the specs they have.
Anyway any input on these would be great.
Thanks
I guess i should have worded that better. I am not looking for a huge SPL system. I was thinking the 4 subs more for the looks then the sounds levels it can produce.
The RMS rate is 150watts per sub for the w1v2s.
The optimal power range is between 100-150 watts.
But the real question I want to know is if they are up to the typical JL quality as far a sound quality and build quality.
yes they are a great sub but they are more for sound quality not for the thump if you have the 500/ JLamp run 2 12 w 3v2 I think you will be suprised . I am going to put 3 10 w1 v2 in mine with just the 250/ amp my 3 10 w 0 hit prity hard but I dont have the quality that I am locking for cause I like a lot of rock music. Also to help you out chek out the new CLEAN SWEEP by JL it will help you out. Just remember running 4 subs in the trunk of your cavy you can loose alot of air space and that sounds like crap I know from experiance that is why Im sticking to 10s

The W1v2s just came out. I do agree with you that more is not better. The way I want the install to look just has 4 subs in it.
I had the shop put 2 in my trunk for a demo of them and they sound good. They are a lot more accurate then the l7 i have. They still play loud if you want them too.
I picked up 4 12s and I am starting the build tomorrow.
Here is a image of the subs.
This is my current setup.
The new one should look good once i get all of the pieces, i am still waiting on a few things
I installed 4 12W1v2-8's into my buddies 1987 Olds Cutlass 442, it hits 174.4db on our mic at work. It is a sealed box, and those subs are AWESOME!!!! A very BIG upgrade from W0's, and they are rated at 150rms each. 125 will be more than enough for them.
