I have 2 12" PBX subs in an inclosure. I can't figure out on how to take the outer ring off of the subs so I can put grills on the subs. There are no screws that I can see. I tried putting a screw driver behind the ring and prying, but that didn't work either. If I had to take one of the subs out for any reason, I'd be screwed. Like I said I'm probally just an idiot here. Here are the pics of the subs.

have you tried rotating clockwise or counter-clockwise and see if they just lock on like the caps on stacks of CD/Rs
You have to get under the outer rubber (not the foam surrounds on the subwoofer), the screws are under it, take the subs out of the box afteryuo unscrew them out and slot the grills in. Easy as pie really.
Here is a photo i made for reference.

The grills should just screw in with it (so just place the screws in threw the grill and threw the subs screw holes into the box. easy job, no more then 20 minutes really.
hope this helps.

+ side note, easiesy way to get @ the screws underneath is to just pry with a screw driver, as long as your gentle flipping it up with the screw driver it is safe.

I think the screws are located in rubber portion of the ring of the sub.....take a screwdriver and open the ring up and the screws should b in there...i think that will work...my 1st rockford fogate looked the same.
