Gauge cluster stopped working
Sunday, May 29, 2005 5:11 PM
When I got my sub/amp installed in my car a few months ago the gauge lights (speedometer/fuel/etc..) stopped working, but all I had to do was change the fuse. Yesterday when I tried to turn it on it wouldn't work. I tried replacing the fuse but it blows the second i turn it on. Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

this is a shot in the dark, but when i put my amp in I got a abs light on the cluster because my ground washer clamped the taillight wires under the latch. Something is grounding ur cluster out. Check that all your connections are soldered and completely secure because i know with 4-0 guage if your like me and do this in your drive way a pair of pliers just doesnt cut it. Do you subs still work?

The sub still works. Would I have to tear apart my dash again to check the grounding wires, or is there an easier way. The gauge is stock, so i have no idea why it would suddenly stop working.

If just your odometor light won't work, but everything else does, would that have something to do with the ground also? All I installed was a new deck & it did this.
