some of you may know that I sold my 2 10W7's earlier this year, along with my amp and all my speakers. So I have been riding around with 2 6x9's in my backseat for a while for something to listen to. Well my JL AUDIO employee accomodation has finally been shipped, and should be here tomorrow!!!
To replace my 2 10W7's, 4 TR 6x9's, 2 TR 6.5 door speakers, a 300/4, 2 500/1's I GOT
4 8W7's
1000/1
XR525csi's (2 sets)
TR650csi's (2 sets)
450/4
all new terminals, wire, and all that good stuff.
The 4 6.5inch components will be fiberglassed into the rear deck for listening to at car shows, or to be really loud.
The 2 sets of 5.25's will go into the front doors, 2 woofers and 1 tweeter each, and the other tweeter from each sets is going to be glassed into the top of the dash. 150RMS will go to each door, and 75rms will go to each pair of rear deck speakers.
The 8W7's will be wired at 3ohm on the 1000/1, and a 200 amp alternator with a KINETIK 1400 power cell will be used for the power.
My new battery terminals accept 3 0guage wires, so 2 0guage wires will go to the rear of the car to the rear power cell and distribution blocks, and one 0awg wire will go to the 200 amp alternator.
I will leave my grounds the same, be add more. Still one 0 guage to the chassis, one to the tranny bell housing, and another 0guage ground to the rear of the car using JL AUDIO's ground lugs. I am alsi upgrading the ground to the alternator, and adding a 2nd ground to the rear of the car. I want to have the least amount of resistance as possible for the power to flow.
Pics will be up ASAP, I am starting my box in the morning. 4 8W7's slot prted, shoudl be LOUD AS FUK!!, there will be 33 more sq. inches than my 2 10W'7s, and that was insane. I'll keep you posted.
If the 10w7 were ported also you should only see about 1-2 db increase. But get the pics up ASAP, sounds like you got your ish streight.
where did you get the batt terminals for with that many 1/0 gauge inputs? Im in the market

An employee discount it the only way to Bring the jl w7s and slash series amps back down into reality. I'm sorry but the shop around here sells a jl package of a13w7, 1000/1, custom box, install for $2500. For $2500 I could have one the baddast damn system you will ever see on the street. I'm thinking 3 xxx12 with 3 crossfire 2000d and enough money leftover to upgrade the electrical.

My last system was bought full retail, 1 piece at a time.
1-2db louder with the same amount of power will be plenty for me.
My employee cost is VERY NICE!!, but then again I sell the product for them, so hell yeah I get a good deal.

Yes you all will get pics as I build the box, and start to get it all in the car. Regardless of cost, JL is some of the best sounding subs I've heard, and I have heard alot. I have also heard alot sound horrible due to distortion, and the wrong box.
1-2 db won't even be audible by ear.....it will look alot cooler though

got most of my stuff today, there are 2 different shipments they sent out, and I got some from each one. So the rest should be here tomorrow. Only thing missing is my fuse holders, fuses, and battery terminals from one list, and my 450/4 and 1 of the 8W7's.
Kinda cool, the boxes for the 8W7's say 23lbs.!! Damn those are HEAVY EIGHTS!
Most of the time the company will send "B" stock if they have it, but all my parts are NEW, and most were manufactured in May or June of 2005, so I am gald. I was worried about getting "B" stock, because I didn't want to get an amp that might have a scratch on it, because my car is mostly for show. And all my past purchases were "NEW and Retail" ones before I worked at Duke's.
Gonna go take a few pics, and I'll post a link to em in the PHOTO section. I loved going to take a truck to get my order from work today, and it isn't even all of it.
They give B stock when it is available, I guess I got lucky.
