hello well ive seen the rca adapters for pioneers.. i have the PIONEER DEH-P6300 i was wondering which adapter i need if anyone knows or can find out?.. im pretty sure i have aux on my player ect.. but i dont want to take it out to look at the plug i need so if anyone could tell me what i need. i know i need a pioneer adapter to rca then rca to headphone adapter.. please fill me in more thanx in advance
Yes, if you goto Radio shack and buy a headphone to rca adapter it will work on your headunit...
You need a CD-RB10 or CD-RB20. The 10 is an aux input adapter, and a 20 is a feed through aux input adapter so that you can hook up xm or a changer through it. That's all you need.

I'm sorry, but can you read?
In my link above I said I have the same exact headunit that you have and I listed all of the parts needed to connect an Ipod to it. And the link you gave matched the part I suggested.
yes i can read.. can u? read all the posts the last guy said i could use CD-RB10..it looks by ur install u went thru the dock connecter 100.00 piece.. while i can hook it up to the headphone jack for about 30.00 i dont care if it charges i already have a car charger.. so.. with the CD-RB10 work with my headunit? i dont remember seeing that sort of plug on the back of my headunit.. thanx
ok so ive been looking on ebay i didnt know they had a dock connecter to RCA.. so im going to get the CD-RB10+ RCA to DOCK connecter to ebay.. correct? sorry for the confusion
Lol I was about to say...$100?
I paid $13 for mine with free shipping, but you have the perfect hardware for what you are going to do. One problem that might arise is, I'm not sure about this though. It seems pioneer won't output to the subwoofer out on the headunit. I was getting no bump from my ipod on my sub, but then my amp blew so i cant test this theory. If so I'v already come up with a way of working around it and I'll let ya know how it goes.
well thats a bitch i better get subs i dont see why i owuldnt you must of had a different error.. anyway pionner sells a ipod dock connecter and a box with rca's thats 100.00 dont know why anyone would buy it when they can get the same thing for 40
i had a couple more questions.. since i got the dock connecter instead will it get charged when its plugged in? .. also ill still have to control the songs on the actual ipod thru this right? i wont have anything on the screen of the actual cd deck?
I agree there must be some other error in the system, but I didn't have a chance to investigate. Simply put, I was gettting to subwoofer frequencies from the Ipod. Now the Ipod does not get charged while plugged in through the dock-to-rca, but if you take your ipod in everynight then it doesn't matter. And yes you will have to control it through the actual ipod. The pioneer kit you are paying for the ability to control the ipod on the head unit, but I used it on a friends ride and there was a 1.5 second delay switching between artist. I have over 100 artist on my ipod and that would take too fscking long to go through the list.
Sandmanx: Ok, just some insight in to this whole situation. I use the Pioneer AUX adapter with my DVD player and it does output the lower(sub) frequencies without any problem. The problem you might be experiencing might have to do with the fact that the output signal you are using from your I-POD is from the headphones jack which may not have a strong output in the lower frequency range as to not damage headphones that would be attached.
Brandon: Hey man, those 2 items you purchased should work great, hopefully the headphone to RCA adapter you bought will be long enough to reach the AUX out of the pioneer, that would be the only issue, but I believe I read 6 ft so shouldn't be a problem. Have fun with the I-POD.
But it's not coming from the headphone plug, the signal is coming from a dock-to-rca connector.
hey got mine all in and everything works great!.. heres pix of the install <img src=http://titus2669.com/ipod%20002.jpg>
awesome man! looks great!
not sure if this post is dead but i had a question about how u installed the ipod through the vent.
What did u use to do that? How did u mount it? looks really good and want to do a similar setup.
I used the belkin tune dock, but I left the cupholder part off. The vents on my sunfire were the perfect size to wedge in between the fins. Then I just taped the little cylinder to keep it from moving and painted it to match the interior.
awesome. thanks sandmanx. im gonna give it a shot myself.
