Question on how to wire a 2-channel amp??
Tuesday, June 07, 2005 10:29 AM
Was just wondering if i had a 2 channel amp that was rated to take a 2ohm load per channel, could i wire up one 2ohm dvc sub(one voice coil per channel). Would that be alright to do as long as both channels are receiving the same signal??

The final 4 Ohm load bridged across the two channels of your amp.
The amp will be running 2 Ohms mono. That is safe for that amp
Wiring up one coil per chanel is not recommended...... this setup will allow
for the most output of that amp.......

If at first you don't succeed, destroy all evidence you tried!
