well I have 2 10" TREO subs (unknown watt...about 2 years old) they really kicked in my bro's S-10 with an 800 watt Lanzar amp. I have ordered Arc Audio 6x9 and 4x6 and I need advice on chosing a 2-channel amp that will be good enough to power both subs and speakers nicely with a reasonable price. I was looking at a Hifonics 400 watt daul channel amp.
any help would be great

If you want decent sound quality, I wouldn't power subs, 6x9s
and 4x6s off of one amp. I'd go 400 front and back.

two seperate amps? like a 2-channel 400 watt for the rear 6x9s and the subs? and another one for the door speakers?
frist of all i would send thoes 6x9s back espicaly if your trying to shoot for sound quilaty. if not find out the rms of the speakers and subs and how much u are looking to spend and ill give u some examples
yeah i'd amp the front speakers and the subs before i go and amp the 6X9s. if i really wanted to amp my 6X9s i'd go with a 4ch to power all the speakers and a mono amp for the subs. i'd definately amp my fronts before i amp the 6x9s though.

i'm not sending them back. my friend had them and they sound good...i'm not trying to win shows or anything... I just want to amp the subs and the doors...i won't amp the 6x9s right now...i'll just put tweeters in the rear
the TREO TS-10 will take 150 Watts RMS Power Handling
use a mono amp for the subs, and amp the mids if you want to. A common error in the beginning is looking at max power ratings on subs and amps. Be sure that the max on the amp isn't more than the max on the subs. Other than that, ignore that number, and focus on RMS.

problem solved! I got a Hifonics 400 watt 2-chanel amp I will be puttin 200 watts to each TREO...it all gets done tonight! I will post pics later
well after 3 hours of phone tag and a 30 min drive for nothing I got an American Bass SQ-540. I am kinda new so I went round and round with the sales guy and it just gave me a headache!!!
does anyone know of or has used this model amp? I am taking it back tomorow to get it hooked up by the place I bought it from. I just hope it will be able to push my TREOs like he says it will.
any thoughts?
